How Joints work
Joints are the parts of our bodies where two or more bones meet. Most joints are capable of moving freely, allowing the bones to have a full range of motion. The end of each bone is capped with cartilage which cushions the joint and makes the bones wear resistant. Ligaments and muscles support the joint and act as our body’s first shock absorbers. Our joints are our body’s backup set of shock absorbers. By having strong muscles, we help to preserve our joints.
